Most people interpret that to mean, die for your brother. I am more inclined to think he meant a life in service to others (Christians believe in eternal life) such as Police, Fireman, Solider, Nurse, Doctors, Clergy, teachers and out of those Firemen are more likely to Die for strangers, solders die for there fellow soldiers and country and lastly Police officers die for there mistakes trying to keep themselves alive while keeping the public safe. All honorable careers.

This is why so many fireman died(353) on 9-11. God bless the NYFD!

I think every single police car no matter what the jurisdiction should be equipped with a AED defibrillator and if you thought about it, you would want one in your police patrol car not only for the public, but for your own safety as a cop.
