I'm going to quote Artie Lange talking on the Howard Stern Show about the referee fixing NBA games( I have accused that guy of fixing games to my brother before when watching him refereeing. I said the same dam thing. He was handing out an ejection: a technical foul when there was no way it was merited. It sort of reminded me of when House Ballard would always miss his block on the most important play of the game, causing Jim Kelly to get sacked and the Bills to eventually lose the Big Game, pro bowler my ass!).

 Anyway back to Artie Lange. He said: "Thanks to the Soprano's and movies like the Godfather and such, even a housewife in Nebraska knows the inner workings of the mob, but even in this day and age when they are suppose to have no power according to the government, they can still pull something like this off." He said: "Think about it the only way this can happen is because of dirty cops". He reasoned this: "If there weren't dirty cops this guy would have went straight to the police when the mob threatened his family, when threatened if he didn't shave points his family would be harmed, but because of the dirty cops, he and people in general are afraid to go to the police when threatened by the mob". Howard Stern then tried to blunt his statement because he is always supporting the cops on his show by saying: "People are afraid of the mob because they could lose their life from the mob not necessary he inferred  because of dirty cops". (These quotes aren't 100% perfect in my recollection and are only my opinion as to what I heard them infer).

The only thing I would say is it's not even necessary for dirty cops to exist in a police force, just the perception that they exist in police departments is enough to prevent people from going to the police, so police departments should do everything they can to combat that perception.

 In which case this website CopperSneak.com  filled with my opinions and stories could actually serve to perpetuate the notion which I agree with: You shouldn't run to the police and rat out the mob.

 It's a sorry position to take if you have any integrity as a human being, but not being employed in a position where your integrity is your life and job such as soldier, cop, judge, prosecutor, government employee, where your oath of office and the USA are your life, your duty is to your families safety first.

Where as we all expect  soldiers, cops, judges, and prosecutors to die for their job before betraying the publics trust.

If we didn't believe this, the penalty for killing a cop or government employee wouldn't be more severe. The biggest example being capital punishment for death of one of these people caused another person. These peoples lives and jobs wouldn't be judged more important when lost than the rest of the population, if it wasn't that integrity and duty, valor  and country (USA) are to be put before self and family by these people. Where as it is expect at all times from these people from all of us that they act this way. That is why any of these people being dirty is such a violation of the public trust and why others in their position shouldn't turn a blind eye to those that are dirty.
