 Me, personally I would want justice for a crime committed against me. The right person identified and punished and or forgiven and or shown mercy by the victim and the judge and state depending on circumstances no matter how long it takes. It shows Buffalo NY Police are on the right track and actually care about justice and integrity and are working to those ends.

I haven't said anything about the Lyn  Dejac case lately because I thought it was a masterful play by the Erie County district attorney Clark. Clark has had the innate ability to stay in office, prosecute cases that scare people, play politics and overlook corruption on a massive scale in Erie county , Buffalo city and Town and village governments. Although lately I hope he has realized along with the public that its has been a massive drain on the WNY economy and the free ride should end, and he has been slapping a few wrist to put that point across. Like I said I don't care if anyone goes to jail I just want the corruption to stop!

 Now I here that Buffalo cold case detective Dennis Delano has been suspended without pay for leaking what should be public evidence anyways in the Lyn  Dejac case a film made at the time of the arrest that shows the conditions in The Dejac household at the time of Crystal Lyn's death. He contends its a murder still.

All I have to say is yes everyone believes its a murder, I'm happy and thankful for men like you Detective Dennis Delanowho won't compromise looking for the truth. It's evident that everyone wants this to go away especially the former prosecutor who prosecuted the case and is now making millions in private practice and its a torn in his side to have this hanging over his head and Clack and all the powers that be are trying to get this over to help there buddy who insisted Dejac was still Guilty and should be prosecuted  if cleared.

What makes me mad, instead of suspending  Detective Dennis Delano with pay and leaving it that way for leaking this, they have know suspended him without pay. I believe he thinks that letting this go directly reflects on the Buffalo police department badly, letting the former Erie county prosecutor in private practice completely off the hook.

All I can say is don't worry Buffalo cold case detective  Dennis Delano we all know that the Buffalo Police department didn't screw the pooch completely in the past, a murder occurred, and  further since the Kid's name was Crystal most likely after crystal meth, we can assume that Lyn Dejac had a drug problem when the kid was born, the kid lived with her mother doing drugs and her mother making bad choices, her murdering boyfriend killed the girl Crystal and no one is being fooled.

 I can also see a need for chain of command and a suspension may be warranted, but they should lift the no pay provision if he drops calling for more prosecution and agrees to go on to other cases.

Personally I think its always the cover up that gets you and he is speaking out about a cover up and is with in his rights and it's not wrong to speak against a cover up ever.

“In our opinion, after investigating this case and looking at all the available evidence, Lynn DeJac could not have killed her daughter,” Detective Dennis Delano said.   Watching this case  almost restores your faith in the system. Buffalo cold case detectives actively lobbied for this woman's release after they learned that her x boy friend is probably a killer in other cases. The original judge D'Amico    heard arguments from DeJac's lawyers and set aside the charges, the community of WNY supported all of this. The only people that can't let go and see the righting on the wall is the Erie counties district attorneys office.

 The mere fact that her x-boy friend is charged with murder in other cases cast enough doubt that you could never convince anyone that a woman killed her daughter or had any part in her killing and while she was sitting in jail her x boy friend was out killing woman.

If the distinct attorney can't let go of a case where even if he retried the case and the DA won, DeJac would only most likely face no more time than she already served and its obvious that this is the outcome, it becomes obvious that the district attorney office doesn't believe in justice or convicting the person that committed the crime, all they believe in is there conviction rate.

It's like the Duke rape case over again, learn from that disgraced DA and don't beat a dead horse especially one that's infected with disease that will spread to and infect you while beating that carcass and becomes the beginning of the end of your public office.

 If the DA wants to make a point charge Dejac with endangering the welfare of a minor, child abuse and child neglect for using drugs and being an addict and bringing another drug using and possible dealing and abusive man into her house resulting in the murder of her daughter or offer Dejac these charges in a plea barging for time served, don't retry her on murder charges.

55 year old Dennis Donohue of Kenmore is arrested for Murder and it turns out  that someone else may be in Jail for a murder he committed. (WIVB TV) and he might have committed other murders each one on his birthday.  The Erie County DA is saying they might have a hard time getting that convection overturned. If that is the case the DA should ask the governor to pardoned the wrongly convicted woman if the courts won't. This is the second time in less than a year that we are finding out that someone has been jailed for a long time for something they didn't do. The other case was Anthony Capozzi being locked up in jail for 22 yrs for 3 Rapes he didn't commit because the victims identified him as the one that attacked them until cleared by Sanchez's DNA.

I am going to add that I think it takes a lot of guts by the Buffalo NY Police to go back and examine cold cases and look for justice even if the justice found will bring up former mistakes or miss deeds and false prosecutions.
